Armed with the never say die attitude towards life gifted by her environment, she manages to move ahead against all odds, with a dream in her eyes and driven by a dream, while she exercises the responsibility of taking care of her only younger brother and grooming him with utmost affection and tolerance. It is when the future looks bright in her eyes, her life is bombarded with unexpected and shocking turn of events. And how she overcame all those challenges and setbacks and comes out victorious is the story of this movie.

The way this movie exposes the lurking menace, which is literally threatening us one and all, sends shock waves down the spine and is expected to bring about the much needed awareness of the dangerous situation we are in.

Human emotions have no age barriers and it’s all about living the moments. The childlike innocence and joyful nature are always ready to open up its door for the ones willing to enter its kingdom. Such paradisiacal moments are mostly occurring into the old ages, where the life comes to a circle. CHIYANGAL is about one such loveable tale revolving around these characters with dewy-eyed innocence and pure hearts. It happens that a film owning characters of purity and innocence has heavenly backdrops. Filmmaker Vaigarai Balan has significantly chosen the foothills of Western Ghats, where the towns and villages are soaked dews and misty purity.

Filmmaker Vaigarai Balan says, “The film is based on the inspirations of what I have seen growing up. We have tried introducing around 70 new faces in the film and all of them were given training for a longer phase. Except for 4-5 familiar faces, all of them are newbies. We have shot the film across the village located 40Kms from Theni. We had to travel such a long distance and could shoot only for 2-3 hours a day.”

While elaborating on the film’s title “CHIYANGAL” and its significance with the film, he adds, “Chiyan is the word the people across few areas in Southern Tamil Nadu usually use to address the old people in their neighborhood. We have tried the beautiful lives of the people here that involve joy, pain, emotions and sentiments.”

Produced by Karikalan for KL Production, the film has been shot nearly for 70 days and is now gearing up for release. The film’s technical crew comprises of cinematographer I.E.Babu Kumar (Zero fame) and editor Mabbu Jyothi Prakash (Kodi fame).

‘Content is King’ and this theory might look eclipsed certainly at times, but gets revived over and again through some of the proficient filmmakers arriving with unparalleled stories to present. Debutant filmmaker Barath Neelakantan has proved it deliberately with K 13 that had the teaser whelming up everyone with excellent expectations. With the film already censored, the producers have planned to release the album soon followed by the films theatrical release for this summer.

Producer SP Shankar of SP Cinemas says, “What everyone saw in the teaser can be referred as looking through the peephole of K 13 door, for there are lots of unexpected dramatic events to be unleashed as it opens. This was something we decided for the trailer as a psychological means to prepare the audience in accordance to the film’s theme. We were happy that our intelligent audience got the actual grammar of the Trailer and could see many commenting on the shots that has few characters getting introduced through peephole. We are planning to launch the songs shortly and are eyeing for a worldwide theatrical release this summer.”

Malayalam film director Vinayan started his new film “AKASHAGANGA 2” this month on the 16th. The locations are at Palghat , Pollachi, and cochin. It is a horror comedy film. Along with famous actors from Malayalan popular actress Remya Krishnan is doing a very important character in this film.

The film, which is the second one to be produced by his production house, has actor Vaibhav playing the lead as a police officer. This is the first time that Vaibhav is playing a cop in a film. Actress Vani Bhojan plays the female lead in the project, which also features actresses Eswari Rao, Poorna and Mime Gopi in important roles.

More interestingly, the film, Shvedh Production No2 will have director Venkat Prabhu playing the villain for the very first time. The fact that the film has such an interesting star cast has raised expectations from the film among both fans and film buffs.

The suspense thriller is being directed by S G Charles, a former associate director of director Mohan Raja. Charles is making his debut as a director in Tamil cinema with this film that is yet to be titled.

VIACOM18 STUDIOS PRESENTS PARALLEL MINDS PRODUCTIONS JEETHU JOSEPH DIRECTORIAL “KARTHI-JYOTHIKA” UNTITLED FILM SHOOTING COMMENCES IN GOA.

It’s time for the most proficient actors and technicians team up for an intriguing film. The buzz about Karthi and Jyotika sharing the screen space for the first time in a film has been adding up more excitement among the fans. “The first thing that Barath told me during our initial meeting was “Every property in the house is going to be a character”. That was totally surprising to hear and something that not all art directors could come across often. It was a mixed feeling of excitement and a speculative challenge. Although, I thought how far this statement from him would get materialized and he proved right with his narration, where he had included about the props in the script. However, I wasn’t pretty sure if this would get noticed by the viewers, but was surprised to see it happen by the motion poster itself. Even in the trailer, we could come across specific shots having properties.” says art director Kamalanathan who has substantially engraved his presence in trailer through his art work.

While speaking about the film’s premise, Kamalanathan says, “K13 isn’t going to be a routine thriller. It has a completely new storytelling pattern and Barath Neelakantan deserves special mention for coming up with such a story. I am sure that audiences will be held intact from the first minute till end for its raciness.”

Looks like, it isn’t just the hardcore fans of Jayam Ravi, but even the filmmakers like Pradeep Ranganathan have been looking up for this. With the actor continuously showing up with angry young man roles including his previous release “Adanga Maru”, the tall handsome actor will completely appearing in contrastive avatar(s) in ‘Comali’, which is a full length family entertainer laced with comedy and emotions.

Director Pradeep Ranganathan says, “Yes, we have tried making a comedy entertainer with family elements. Over the past few years, we have been watching Jayam Ravi sir perform serious roles in movies like Thani Oruvan and Adanga Maru. This will have a family drama with the equal mix of fun and emotions. It also deals with the contemporary crisis involving the negativities spread through social media platforms and has a good message by end. More than all, what’s going to be interesting is Jayam Ravi sir appearing in 9 different get ups and one involving the 90s makeover will be more intriguing. Yogi Babu will be seen more like a character artiste than being a routine comedian and will be seen throughout the movie. KS Ravikumar sir plays an important role in this movie. There are few other actors in the film, who will pep up the film with entertainment quotients like Bijili Ramesh, Ponnambalam. We have introduced RJ Anandhi of YouTube Paridhaabangal fame and she will be performing an intense character in the movie. Kajal Agarwal being such a well experienced actress, she always was keen on improvising even the minute acts. Every time, I would see both Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal together, I felt there’s something magical about this pair and am sure audiences will feel the same. The script actually demanded for a substantial female character that needs to be more expressive and we felt Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde will do perfect justice to it. She has already become the sensation of south through the Kannada movie Kirrik Party. We are sure that her performance as one of the female lead roles will be definitely noted and appreciated.”

The filmmaker extends up his words of praises for music director Hiphop Tamizha saying, “He has become the musical emblem of youth and he has offered the most enjoyable songs in this film. Especially the song ‘Paisa Nottu’ will be surely looked upon for its musical score and grander production values. It’s an imaginative song on a Temple being built for Kamal Aggarwal and what if the temple was a pub. The song has come out really well and we are looking forward to the crowds for enjoying it.”

“AELAY” will be a ‘neo-realistic comedy’ starring Samuthirakani, Manikandan & others, Written & Directed by Halitha Shameem. Directors Pushkar & Gayatri turn Creative Producers with this project produced by S.Sashikanth.

Sashikanth, YNOT Studios said – “For over a year now, I have been in talks with leading Film Directors in our industry to become Creative Producers, who will identify interesting scripts and nurture them creatively. Directors Pushkar & Gayatri, who have floated their own production house – ‘Wallwatcher Films’, will be the first ones to collaborate with us in this venture, with this promising film- “AELAY””.

The principal photography of “AELAY” will commence on the 3rd of May 2019 in Pazhani and filming will happen across various places in Tamil Nadu over the next 2 months.
