Grandeur has its prevalence all over the sets of Harish Kalyan starrer Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale now. With the team having done a perfect pre-planning, the shoot that commenced on April 22 is going on full swing. Right now, the team is shooting a grand song that is based on the film’s theme.

We decided to have set works based on this theme and art director Umesh accordingly erected luxurious backdrops that have lots of innovative appeal. Of course, Harish Kalyan is a fabulous dancer and he’s giving the finest touch with his presence along with 50 dancers. The song is turning up really beautiful than we imagined. More than being self satisfied, I am happy that Sree Gokulam Gopalan sir being so much supportive and giving us complete freedom on creative side and production.”

Rhea Chakraborthy and Reba Monica John will be seen playing the lead roles in this film, which will be an out and out entertainer. The film’s launch itself garnered a huge attention for the presence of many celebrities. With Harish Kalyan already proving to be a ‘Romantic’ hero in Pyaar Prema Kadhal and a tough intense character in ‘Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum’, he will be appearing in a much contrastive role in this movie, produced by Sree Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies.

Lyricist Yugabharathi said, “It’s happy to see my friend becoming a producer and Yogi Babu has been working with lot of efforts to retain the position as top league comedian. I have worked almost all the filmmakers in the industry, but it gives me more pleasure to work with my friend Muthukumar.”

We discussed this script before many years and to see it getting materialized today is a blessing. The film is a fantasy subject based on Lord Yama and is narrated with fun filled moments. Actually, I narrated the story casually to Producer Ranganathan asking him to refer me new producers. However, he surprised me saying that he is ready to produce it by himself. Art Director has done a colossal job with his set works and the costume designing has been done greatly. My other film ‘Kanni Raasi’ featuring Vimal and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead role was completed in 45 days and we managed to wrap up ‘Dharma Prabhu’ in 40 days. Yogi Babu’s good hearted nature is what has made him big today. There were times, when we would wait for him to bring 300 rupees remuneration from Vijay TV ‘Lollu Sabha’ shooting and we would cook food. Today to see him successful gives us joy.”

Producer K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films said, “From the day I have seen P Ranganathan sir, he has always been smiling. He is someone who keeps loving cinema and is passionate about it.” He jokingly continued to add, “ I am so happy to see Yogi Babu sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth sir. But I don’t know how he is going to react after seeing this trailer that has a funny take on him. I am sure Yogi Babu has to face the consequences during the next schedule of ‘Darbar’.”

Producer T Siva of Amma Creations said, “I just now heard our director say that Book My Show has been overcharging for internet handling fee. This is mainly due to the improper structure of Producer Council. None of their promises are fulfilled and the ones who made the promise have vanished. It’s distressing to see many producers are desolated as orphans as they don’t have proper support to offer solution to their problems. Very soon, there will be a change in the system and am sure all things will be sorted out. I am sure, many producers would have envied upon Dharma Prabhu after watching the first look. Such happens to be the fan base that Yogi Babu has acquired. Tamil cinema has always witnessed so many comedians ruling the show and now to see Yogi Babu has joined them is a big gift.”

Producer P Ranganathan rendered a speech of few words thanking each and everyone in the team and thanking the special invitees who attended the event.

Yogi Babu said, “The film has two heroes, one is played by me and another by Sam, which involved the earth episodes. Myself and director Muthu Kumaran have been friends for 15 years and what all he told is true. We have stayed and journeyed together in many situations with and without food. Today we are happy that our dreams have come true. Since, both Muthu Kumaran and Sam Anton both happen to be my friends, I had accepted to shoot for both Dharma Prabhu and Gurkha at the same time that I couldn’t sleep for 45 days. The role of Lord Yama is something exceptional as we get that attitude as soon as wearing the makeup. I could feel it throughout the shooting. I am sure this film will be one among the special movies in my career. So far, I haven’t demanded any big remuneration from my producers and have always adjusted for the sake of their well being.”

Following the remarkable movies like Maaya and Managaram, Potential Studios LLP is producing Monster they stars SJ Suryah and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles. With the film hitting screens on May 17, the audio launch of this movie was held this morning at Sathyam Cinemas , Chennai.

Finally, I would like to thank the entire team of production for being so much supportive. When I started the script, the major point was SJ Suryah is Hero and Mouse is villian. Rats have played a major role in human kind across the centuries. In one of the articles, I came across a research saying that the total volume of rats if they decide can eat and kill the entire human population. When I narrated the script to SJ Suryah sir, he was so much interested in the project and then it was Priya Bhavani Shankar, who wanted the script to be given to her before shooting. Such have the proficient people who have been a part of this film. There have been times when SJ sir has to shoot individually and it really needs a good patience to be an actor of this sort. The entire technical crew is yet another boon to me as they have been giving their inputs respectively. Even when I would settle down with my works, they would never compromise and would consistently keep working to deliver the best. I would like to make it clear that all the shots involving rats are original and they are not made on CG. We wanted to show SJ Suryah sir in a much new dimension and fresh looks. Unlike many actors, he is someone who keeps repeating the takes with double energy.”

Actor SJ Suryah said, “I personally feel that there is a good blessing for the entire film and there are lots of sweet magic in this film. The real hero of the film is producers at Potential Studios. The way they respect and value their staffs and team is remarkable. I come across the facts that Aamir Khan would have a team that works constantly in choosing good scripts and they are here as same. Monster is a breezy film that has lots of magic, Producer Prabhu sir told me that Nelson in a sincere person and I felt it wholeheartedly. There’s a deep connection between the humans and animals. There were times when I would tell everyone on the sets that it’s best to go for the CG for the shots involving rats. However, they wanted to feel the skin completely and didn’t compromise with it. I would often tell Priya Bhavani Shankar that she has all the qualities like Vidya Balan in Munna Bhai MBBS and will definitely happen soon. There has been lots of love and care about that were prevalent on the sets and I am really sure audiences will completely enjoy watching it. The hit or flop results don’t matter to me, but the magical moments. Moreover, this is the first ever time my film is getting U certificate. The speciality about the film is that everyone looks so simple, but are magical.

Producer SR Prabhu said, “Many have been asking us if we have some sentimental connect with the titles starting with M. Well, making good quality films is what we desire. Like everyone, even I too have a worst moment with rats. Initially, I was asked to watch Oru Naal Koothu and felt that it had lots of breeziness. So we decided to make this film and it is now Monster. The protagonist of this film is a devotee of Saint Vallalar and he doesn’t harm even a single insect, but the situation forces him to decide whether to kill the rat or keep it alive. Sam Anton’s directorial “100” focalizes on the police control room drama, where the protagonist comes across a serious situation of a victim and how he handles it efficiently. The film is produced by Kaviya Venugopal of Auraa Cinemas and C Padmachand Jain of Gguru Sri Mishri Enterprises is releasing the film all over Tamil Nadu on May 9, 2019.

The title and the first look that arrived as an unconventional surprise triggered off a perfect throw of anticipations. With the shoot of this film going on full swing, the team has now officially confirmed that Rahul Dev (Ajith Kumar starrer Vedalam fame)and Dev Gill (Magadheera and Vijay’s Sura fame) will be playing the baddies.

After the two successful outings, ‘Kutram – 23’ and ‘Thadam’, Redhan’ Inder Kumar is on a hatrick with his third movie, ‘Kombu Vecha Singamda’.

SR. Prabhakaran has joined hands with his mentor Sasikumar once again, at the back of his successful venture ‘Sundarapandian’.

The director has created this movie, loosely based on the sensational real life incidents that happened in the remote and small towns of Tamil Nadu between the years 1990 and 1994. With Sasi Kumar playing the lead, Madonna Sebastian plays his opposite, ably supported by Soori, Director Mahendran, Harish Perady, ‘Sundarapandian’ Thulasi, Deepa Ramanujam, Sendrayan and the producer Inder Kumar among others.

The shooting which started on 12th November at Karaikudi, has travelled through Pollachi, Palani, Tenkasi, Kovilpatti, Virudhunagar, Courtrallam has concluded at Pollachi, very much to the satisfaction of the whole team.

The cinematography is trusted with Ekambaram, music with Dhibu Ninan Thomas, editing with Don Bosco, and stunts taken care of by Anbariv. The lyrics were penned down by Yuga Bharathi, Mohanraj and Arunraja Kamaraj, while Michaelraj handles the art. Director SR. Prabhakaran is at the helm with story, screenplay, dialogues and direction, while Nikil Murukan handles the PR responsibilities for this movie, produced by ‘Redhan’ Inder Kumar.

There lives a guy named Karthik. A police case is registered against him on the charges that he has played with the lives of some girls in the name of love and marriage. The cops start hunting for him, advertising through ‘Karthik Is Missing’ posters. But a middle-aged man tells the cops that the accused is not Karthik but Krishnamurthy. Who is the one who has deceived innocent girls? Is it Karthik or Krishnamurthy? Does Karthik have a look-alike in Krishnamurthy? Is there more than what meets the eye? The suspense will be unravelled on June 5, says writer-producer Ramesh Varma.

Starring Havish as the hero, ‘Seven’ is a romantic thriller directed by talented cinematographer Nizar Shafi. Ramesh Varma is producing it on Kiran Studios. This Telugu-Tamil film features Regina Cassandra, Nandita Sweta, Anisha Ambrose, Aditi Arya, Pujitha Ponnada and Tridha Choudhary as heroines. Rahman and Sunkara Lakshmi will be seen in other prominent roles.

The film’s shooting formalities were completed recently. Two singles are already out. The first song is titled ‘Sampaddhoy Nanne’ and it’s penned by Subham Viswanadh, while the other song, titled ‘Idhivarakepudu’, is penned by Pulagam Chinnarayana.

On Thursday, a superb trailer was released.

Talking about the response to the trailer, producer Ramesh Varma says, “The trailer and the two singles have received an amazing response. Business circles are enthusiastic about ‘Seven’. Abhishek Pictures has acquired the rights to release the movie worldwide on June 5. ‘Seven’ is a romantic thriller drama. The entire screenplay is novel and is beyond the imagination of the audience. Every twist will excite the audience.”

Hero Havish says, “The film is coming with a new story. This is a new-age thriller. It’s not an easy thing to make a film with this kind of story with so many actresses. Only Ramesh Varma gar could do that. We are very happy with the response to the trailer and the songs. The movie will be as novel as the trailer.”

Actress Nikesha Patel has now signed her next film with actor Aarav in Tamil. Directed by Saran, the film is titled Market Raja MBBS.

“I play the love interest of Aarav and also have a separate story and have a very dominating character in the film,” says Nikesha, who adds, ” I have already finished one schedule and am waiting for the next. I love the way director Saran has molded me in this trendy fashionable character and has portrayed me in a glamorous way no one has done ever before.”

“The DoP of the film KV Guhan has done a wonderful job. Both the director and the DOP are like brothers and make a fabulous combination,” says Nikeesha Patel.

The actress has also signed a project in which GV Prakash plays the male lead. The film is being directed by Ezhil and is a fantasy horror. The pretty actress has finished shooting for this film.

“100” is directed by Sam Anton and is produced by Kavya Venugopal of Auraa Cinemas and Padamchand Jain of Gguru Sri Mishri Enterprises had released the film across Tamil Nadu.

This is all about the industry’s most prestigious AGS Cinemas taking over the Tamilnadu theatrical release of Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s ‘House Owner’.

House Owner is written and directed by Lakshmy Ramakrishnan and is produced by Dr. Ramakrishnan for Monkey Creative Labs . ‘Pasanga Kishore’ , ‘ Aadukalam Kishore’ , Sriranjini , and debutant Lovelyn Chandrasekhar play lead roles in the film.

“We decided to shoot the film entirely in places like Jaffna and Mullaitivu in Sri Lanka, so that the audiences get an experience of being closely connected to the premise,” says Ranjith Joseph, who pulls out an exciting information that it’s the first ever time, the entire technical team involving 78 crewmembers had travelled to Sri Lanka for shooting this film. “In fact, some of the technicians were Sinhalese and there was a complete unity on the sets. Such things occurred as a real boon to this project.”

Sinamkol is funded by Sri Lankan Tamilians across Europe, Canada and Tamil Nadu, which is scheduled for July release. Director Ranjith Joseph also confirms that the film has been sent for the National award nomination.

Elaborating about the film’s premise, Ranjith says, “The story deals with the problems faced by Tamils in Sri Lanka over the decade after war. The film is about a person (played by Aandavan Kattalai fame Aravindhan), who gets released from prison after 6 years only to see that his house is taken over by Sri Lankan army and his family is missing.” The director tots up citing that Sinamkol involves some hard-hitting realities that Tamilians are facing.

The story is a fictional tale set against the backdrops of two different time periods: one in 1988-89 and another one by 1975 that involves few flashback portions. The film is about a youngster dwelling in a village near Theni, who knows nothing other than hunting for his livelihood. Things take an abrupt change, when Government imposes ban on hunting. It’s when the protagonist and his pals start manufacturing guns they used for hunting, which turns out to be a disastrous business too. With no options left to fill their pockets, they decide to loot money and wealth from the rich people. On one such incident, they bounce up an unexpected event that changes their course of life.”

Kallan features Nikita and Maya in female lead roles and to everyone’s surprise, they are the only female characters in the movie. Nama Narayanan and Soundara Raja will be seen playing important roles in this movie. K has composed music for this film with MS Prabhu and Jagadeeswaran handling cinematography and Ahmad on editing. Dinesh Subbarayan is choreographing stunts and has played an important role in this movie. The post-production work of Kallan is happening on full swing and the makers will have their official word on release shortly.

A filmmaker isn’t ennobled as ‘Captain of the Ship’ for the traits of expertise on screenwriting and directorial skills, but for the efficient planning. When a project is well planned at pre-production phase, it will definitely have a greater positive impact during the shooting phase, especially over wrapping it up on time. Actor turned filmmaker Bose Venkat has pushed the bars with his maiden attempt through ‘Kanni Maadam’, which has wrapped up the shooting now.

With the delighted spirit, director Bose Venkat says, “We started shooting for this film on February 18th and have completed it by May 16th that includes 35 days schedule with full unit and 7 days with camera crew. If not for the complete support of producer Hasheer, this would have not been possible. He never intervened into the creative process and extended his affinity towards project from beginning till end. We as a team are blessed to have a producer like him. In fact, we were delighted to see him so much happy on the wrap-up day as he hugged each and every crew out of love. These days, it’s not easy to see such emotional moments from a producer.”

Adding upon the specialty of ‘Kanni Maadam’, Bose Venkat says, “Kanni Maadam will define “What is called MADRAS?” We wanted to capture the most celebrated landmark places of the city giving complete details about it. It’s common that youngsters and others who come to Chennai with aspirations and dreams reside in areas like Mettu Kuppam, Vijayaraghava Puram and Choolaimedu. So we have shot the entire film across these places for the ‘nativity’ factors.”

All the songs composed by music director Hari Sai will be montages. It’s noteworthy that the film was recently under spotlights for having Robo Shankar crooning a song based on auto rickshaw drivers. Antony Dasan has a crooned a song and few more prominent icons will be rendering rest of the songs that includes names like Shreya Ghoshal or Chinmayi.

Hasheer is producing this film for Rooby Films featuring Sriram and Gayathri in lead roles. Aadukalam Murugadoss, Gajaraj, Valeena Prince, Vishnu Ramasamy and Super Good Subramani are playing important roles. Harris J Iniyan has handled cinematography with Rishal Jaini as editor and Siva Shankar as art director Viveka penning lyrics and Dinesh Subbarayan choreographing stings. The post-production work of Kanni Maadam is happening on full swing and the official announcement on the first look, trailer, audio and worldwide release will be made shortly.
