The shooting of Simbu’s upcoming flick with Sundar C titled as Vandha Rajava Thaan Varuven has reportedly been stalled.

Sources said the move has been made after the Producers Council has issued red card to the actor in the ‘AAA’ issue in which producer Michael Rayappan incurred huge loss.

The producer has demanded that Simbu must work in a new film free of cost to compensate for the loss. Knowing about the red card, Simbu’s fans have come in support of the actor in social media.

‘VRTV’ is the remake of Telugu flick Attarintiki Daredi. Megha Akash has been roped in as the female lead of the flick.

Catherina Teresa has also been roped in as the second heroine in the movie. She was expected to begin shooting in the second schedule of the film in Hyderabad.

Ajith who recently completed shooting for Viswasam has returned to his team Daksha of MIT. The actor has been guiding the team which has won accolades in several international competitions.

Now, since the shooting is over, he was seen operating a drone in the college premises wearing a team T shirt. As usual he was also polite enough to take a snap with the students who had gathered to see him.

Visuals and photo from the spot are being shared virally online. In the past too, the actor had visited MIT at Chromepet in Chennai and attended a lecture and workshop about the quadcopter design.

He had also interacted with a few students and took photographs with them. The students were floored by his humility and kind gesture.

The set works for Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar began in Chennai recently. The movie is a sequel to the blockbuster flick ‘Indian’ which was released more than two decades ago.

Art director T Muthuraj shared a pic from the pooja and tweeted about the commencement of the work. Dulquer Salman has been roped into play an important role in the movie.

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, music for the movie is by Anirudh Ravichander, it is said. After ‘Indian 2’, Shankar will make another sci-film, that too in 3D.

In a recent interview, he said that he has already started writing a science fiction story and it will be shot using 3D technology with lot of visual effects.

Shooting of Raghava Lawrence’s upcoming horror sequel Kanchana 3 (Muni 4) has almost been completed, with only one song left to be shot.

The movie has Oviya and Vedhika sharing screen space with Lawrence. Sources say that the makers are planning to release the movie in April 2019.

Vedhika who played the female lead in the first part of Muni and Kovai Sarala have been retained in the franchise.

Meanwhile, in an upcoming film of Lawrence, actress Sri Reddy who had earlier hurled sexual charges against the actor-choreographer-director has been signed.

Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday said that he was not a fool not to know about the seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

Addressing mediapersons at his Poes Garden residence, he said, “People are trying to create a false image that I do not know anything about the seven convicts.”

“I spoke to Perarivalan when he came out on parole. My stand is that all seven of them should be released on humanitarian grounds,” he said.

He also said if the opposition feels that BJP is a dangerous party, then it is a dangerous party for them.
“For now I cannot tell if it is a dangerous party or not and it is for the people to decide it,” he said.

Rajini was caught in a controversy after his interview at the airport yesterday was misinterpreted conveying the message that he did not know the seven persons.

Sources now say that the movie is tentatively titled as Aalaporan Tamilan, which is the title of the opening song from their previous flick Mersal.

A new poster from Petta starring Rajinikanth, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has been released and it has confirmed the release of the movie on Pongal 2019.

The poster has Rajini and Simran carrying flowers in their hands and having a good laugh. The movie is produced by Sun Pictures and has an ensemble of cast which includes Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi and Bobby Simha among others.
Shooting of the movie has been completed and it is said that the film will have a grand release for Pongal 2019, clashing with Ajith’s Viswasam in the box-office.

Music for the movie is by Anirudh Ravichander. Meanwhile, the superstar’s magnum opus 2.0 has been cleared by the Censor board with UA certificate.

Magamuni, director Santhakumar’s next film featuring Arya, Mahima, Indhuja, goes on floors!

Director Santhakumar, who directed the critically acclaimed hit film Mouna Guru, began work on his next film, Magamuni, which was launched in simple fashion in Chennai today.

Produced on behalf of Studio Green productions by KE Gnanavel Raja, Magamuni will feature actors Arya, Mahima Nambiar and Indhuja in the lead. It will also feature several others including Junior Balaiyya, Jayaprakash, Arul Doss, G M Sundar and Kaali Venkat.

Lee Pictures is producing the film Ambu Aim Pandraan Just Miss, which is directed by R Vicky featuring newcomer Lee Varun in lead role. The film’s shooting has started with the pooja this morning .

A comedy by its genre, the film is set against the backdrops of a Park, which happens in a time frame of single day. The film will have the narrative laced with cheeky witty lines, but have more importance love and life. Director Vicky assures that the film’s climax will be definitely a different treat for audiences.

However, now the director himself has clarified that he is not in any social media and any news regarding the movie will be announced by the production house.

The flick will be bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. Shooting of the film is expected to being in January 2019. Ajith’s Viswasam directed by Siruthai Siva is set to hit the screens during Pongal 2019.

RJ Balaji has announced that his first movie as hero title LKG will be releasing on Pongal 2019.

He made the announcement in a newly released poster, which took a dig at the recent controversy of freebies after the release of Vijay starrer Sarkar.

The movie is produced by Isari K Ganesh and has Priya Anand playing the lead role. The movie is directed by Prabhu and is touted to be a political satire.

It may be noted that superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta and Ajith’s Viswasam are also slated to released on the same day.

The first look poster of Vikram’s upcoming movie titled Thuppaki Munai was released recently. The title also has the tagline ‘Kill count 33: Each bullet has a story’.

The movie has been cleared by the censor board with U certificate. Now the team has announced that the audio of the film will be released on 21 November.

The flick is directed by Dinesh Selvaraj and is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu. Sources say that Vikram Prabhu plays an encounter specialist in the movie.

Hansika plays the heroine in Thupakki Munai. Music for the movie is by L V Muthuganesh and cinematogrpahy is by Rasamathi.
